From the listing
We’ve received a used guitar from the brand founded by Junzo Kuramoto, who is both a luthier and a musician. Among the brand’s lineup, which consists mostly of fretless JB models, this instrument is a rare find, featuring two humbucker pickups. In addition to simple controls—volume, balancer, treble, and bass—a mini-switch allows you to toggle between passive, active, and active (treble boost) modes. The “G&L” marking visible on the internal circuit board gives it a look and feel that is truly reminiscent of the L-2000. Thanks to its heavy ash body, the sound has a substantial, well-rounded character that feels very solid. It’s a charming guitar, with a humbucker that produces a slightly plucky midrange. We discovered a broken wire in the front pickup, so we rewound it after receiving the guitar. Although the truss rod has limited adjustment range, both the neck condition and overall function are in good shape. Of the two mini switches installed, the one on the neck side is a dummy switch. Additionally, there is some pop noise when switching between passive and active modes as described above. There are some scratches visible overall, and the metal parts show some tarnish. A Jim Dunlop-style locking pin is installed, but the strap side is missing. Condition Grade: B+: Some scratches, but no issues for normal use Case: Soft case Weight: 5.23 kg Truss Rod: Note: Tested up to 60 degrees to the left and right with no issues (some play remaining) Fret Wear: Within normal limits; fret height is sufficient for playing String Height (Low String Side): 2.5 mm at the 12th fret String height (treble side): 2.0 mm at the 12th fret Strings at Setup: D’Addario EXL165-5 / .045-.135 set Repairs and Maintenance Performed: Cleaning, string replacement, truss rod adjustment, octave adjustment, string height adjustment, fret leveling * As this is a used item, there may be scratches, dents, and other imperfections that are not clearly visible in the photos or not li
