Guitar Hunter privacy information

Last updated: 11 September 2026

Guitar Hunter is operated by SVG Sound Research sp. z o.o. (Selected Vintage Guitars), ul. Seweryna Mielżyńskiego 27–29, 60-725 Poznań, Poland, NIP 7831946574, KRS 0001219608. Contact us at shop@selectedvintageguitars.com about your account or personal data.

Your account

We use your email address, authentication information and chosen language to create and secure your account, confirm your email, reset your password and provide access to search results. You may optionally save a display name and country or region in your private account profile. These details are not used as proof of identity or permission to access other accounts. When you choose Google login, Google provides basic account information, including your email and profile. We do not request access to your Gmail messages or Google Drive.

Supabase manages accounts and authentication. Passwords are handled by Supabase Auth; we do not display or store plaintext passwords in the application. Resend delivers account emails. Vercel hosts the website and processes requests. These providers may process technical information, such as IP addresses and request logs, to operate and secure the service.

Storage on your device

The app stores your login session, language, display currency, excluded sources, saved guitars and saved searches in browser storage. Saved guitars and searches currently remain on the device where you saved them. Signing out removes the local login session; your saved items remain on that device.

Search and external listings

Search terms are sent to our backend and the sources you ask us to check. Opening an external offer takes you to a separate website with its own privacy practices.

Purchase enquiries and replies

Signed-in users can request purchase assistance. We store the selected offer, requested services, budget, delivery country, contact email, phone number and conversation in Supabase so Selected Vintage Guitars can handle the enquiry. The contact email and phone are required for this service. Resend sends your request to our shop and receives our email replies so they can appear privately in your account. Replies are shown as text; attachments are not made available in the application. The application checks for new replies while open. Creating an enquiry does not approve a purchase or subscribe you to marketing.

Deleting your account removes its enquiries and conversation from the application. Copies already delivered to the shop mailbox and delivery records held by email providers are not erased by the app’s delete button. Contact us to request their removal; records required for completed transactions or legal obligations may need to be retained.

Orders, quotes and payments

When you accept a quote we store the accepted version, delivery and invoice details, order history, payment reference and shipment tracking to fulfil the sales contract. SumUp handles your payment; Guitar Hunter does not store your card number. Account deletion does not erase commercial records needed for accounting, statutory obligations and the establishment or defence of claims. These records are separated from the deleted login account. We process search usage and subscription periods to apply your plan limits; payment and order records are kept for the applicable statutory retention periods.

Marketing

Creating an account does not subscribe you to marketing emails. Account confirmation and password recovery emails are used to provide the service.

Control and deletion

You can clear saved items and browser storage on your device. Use Account to edit your optional profile, request an email or password change, or permanently delete your Guitar Hunter account. Deletion removes the account, profile and account-linked saved data, and clears saved guitars, searches and source exclusions on the device where you delete the account. Browser-only data on other devices must be cleared on those devices. It does not delete your Google account. You can also contact us from your registered address to request access, correction or deletion. Account data is retained while your account is active and removed upon a verified deletion request, subject to necessary security records and applicable retention requirements.

Optional analytics

With your permission, Google Analytics 4 measures public page visits, search submissions and outbound-link clicks to help us understand how Guitar Hunter is used. Analytics is off until you choose Allow analytics. Rejecting analytics does not limit the service. Use Privacy choices in the footer to change or withdraw your choice at any time.

Analytics uses first-party cookies (prefixed gh_ga) and processes technical information such as browser/device characteristics and approximate location derived by Google from the connection. Google may process data outside your country. See Google’s explanation of partner-site data processing. We do not send search text, contact details, enquiry messages, order identifiers, account identifiers or URL query parameters to Analytics. Advertising features and automatic form measurement are disabled.

Your consent choice is stored on this device for up to 180 days; analytics cookies expire after up to 180 days and may be renewed during consented use. Withdrawing consent stops further measurement and clears these analytics cookies on this host. Previously collected reports are not automatically erased when you withdraw. Contact us about data access or deletion; you can also use Google’s browser opt-out tools. Our legal basis for optional analytics is your consent.
