Seller's description

Strymon El Capistan V2 Tape Echo & Delay Pedal Vintage tape echo character with modern studio-grade control. The Strymon El Capistan V2 captures the warm, saturated, organic character of classic magnetic tape echo and puts an incredibly versatile collection of vintage-inspired delay sounds into a compact pedalboard-friendly format. From classic slapback echoes and vintage rockabilly to psychedelic repeats, ambient textures, and evolving sound-on-sound loops, El Capistan delivers the richness, depth, and subtle imperfections that make vintage tape echo so inspiring. Three Classic Tape Machines El Capistan features three different tape machine types, each with three unique modes, giving you an extensive range of vintage echo characteristics. Dial in everything from the stable, full-range response of a fresh studio machine to the fluctuating, worn-in character of a road-weary tape unit. Adjust the tape quality, machine condition, tone, repeats, and other parameters to create anything from clean vintage echoes to dark, gritty, heavily modulated repeats. Strymon's meticulously crafted dTape™ technology and powerful ARM DSP recreate the complex behavior of magnetic tape in remarkable detail — without the maintenance, noise, or mechanical headaches of an actual tape machine. Spring Reverb El Capistan V2 also includes a beautifully voiced spring reverb inspired by the small spring tanks found in classic tape echo machines. Its gentle, vintage character works beautifully on its own or can be used to enhance the delay signal, adding another layer of depth and atmosphere. Sound on Sound Looper The built-in tape-style Sound on Sound looper allows you to create multi-layered ambient textures and evolving loops, making El Capistan much more than a conventional delay pedal. Second-Generation Features The V2 edition retains the beloved tape echo sounds of the original while adding significant hardware and software improvements: Full MIDI implementation Remote contro
