Seller's description

Quick Product Summary The Spector Icon NS-2 brings the distinctive curves, feel and powerful active sound of the legendary NS design into an accessible professional 4-string bass. Its fully contoured alder body is topped with highly figured quilted maple in a striking Black Cherry Gloss finish, complemented by classic gold hardware and Spector Crown fingerboard inlays. A custom-voiced Aguilar DCB Reverse P/J pickup set and Aguilar OBP-2 active preamp provide a versatile tonal platform, while the 34-inch scale, 24-fret rosewood fingerboard and three-piece maple neck deliver the familiar playing characteristics associated with Spector's NS family. What Makes the Spector Icon NS-2 Special? Designed with input from Spector's Custom Shop team in Woodstock, New York, the Icon NS-2 carries many of the visual and ergonomic details associated with considerably higher-priced Spector instruments. The fully curved alder body, quilted maple top, brass nut, Crown inlays and gold hardware give it an unmistakably premium NS appearance. Its electronics package has been developed around custom-voiced Aguilar DCB pickups in a Reverse P/J configuration, partnered with the highly regarded Aguilar OBP-2 two-band active preamp. Independent volume and blend controls plus bass and treble boost/cut provide plenty of scope for moving between deep supportive lows, articulate fingerstyle tones and more aggressive, cutting bass sounds. Who Is It For? The Icon NS-2 is ideal for bassists looking for the classic Spector playing experience and active tonal flexibility without stepping into the company's higher-priced Euro or Custom Shop ranges. Its punchy P/J configuration makes it suitable for rock, metal, funk, pop, fusion and contemporary session work, while the contoured body and 34-inch scale make it a versatile choice for gigging, recording and regular rehearsal use.
