From the listing
Killer Guitars, known for being used by Akira Takasaki of LOUDNESS, presents the KG and KG-Prime Original models, which were discontinued in 2014. It features an ash body, a one-piece maple neck with a VU shape, a deep-insert joint, Killer Original LQ-500 and Dyna-Bite pickups, a single volume control and pickup selector, a strap pin compatible with Schaller lock pins, and a Floyd Rose Original tremolo system. The VU-shaped neck offers an exquisite grip—easy to hold and ideal for technical playing—with the low positions featuring a V-shape that smoothly transitions to a U-shape toward the high positions. The body, while featuring an unconventional form, boasts a well-thought-out design, making this a model that offers exceptional playability. Signs of use are visible (including paint chips on the tip of the body, scuffs, playing scratches, picking marks, and tarnish or pitting on metal parts and screws, among other cosmetic damage). Two of the case hinges have been repaired with wire. Setup was performed upon arrival (cleaning, string replacement, truss rod adjustment, octave adjustment, string height adjustment, fret leveling, neck angle adjustment (shims), and installation of the rear pickup escutcheon with the screw dowel filled ×1). The frets are at a height that poses no issues for playing, and the truss rod has been verified to function properly up to 60° in both directions. Condition Grade: B+: Some minor scratches, but no issues for normal use Serial Number: KG-902381 Country of Manufacture: Japan Case: Hard case (hinges repaired with wire) Accessories: Tremolo arm Weight: 3.00 kg Truss Rod: Confirmed to turn 180° in the tightening direction Remaining Fret Life: Within normal range; fret height is sufficient for playing String Height (Low String Side): 2.0 mm at the 12th fret String height (treble side): 1.5 mm at the 12th fret Nut width: Approx. 42 mm Neck Shape: VU shape Scale: 648 mm (25.5") Strings at Setup: ERNIE BALL 2223 / .009-.042
