This is the Ovation “LX Series” Elite 1868LX, made in the USA. A favorite among many artists, this is Ovation’s thinnest model featuring a super-shallow body, a leaf-shaped soundhole, a cutaway body, and the OP-Pro preamp with built-in tuners, along with tuning pegs bearing the Ovation logo. With its striking appearance and presence, unique sound, slim profile that fits comfortably in the hand, and easy access to the higher frets, it’s a valuable instrument not only for live performances but also for unplugged playing and recording. There are signs of use (such as minor scratches, scuffs, wear marks, wipe marks, picking marks, and tarnish, pitting, or rust on metal parts, etc.). It was set up upon arrival (cleaning, string replacement, truss rod adjustment, fret leveling, nut groove filling ×1, string action adjustment (shims), and backplate sponge replacement). The frets are at a height that poses no problem for playing, and the truss rod can be adjusted both clockwise and counterclockwise; operation has been confirmed up to ±60°.
