From the listing
This is the SL-K, a “b3” Made in Japan model from Built By Baker. Gene Baker boasts a diverse career in guitar making, having headed the custom shops for both Gibson and Fender, as well as D’Angelico. Based on the specifications of the USA SL Model, this “K version”—the Made in Japan SL-K—is a collaboration with Yoshiyuki Kikuchi. It features a maple top and mahogany back, a mahogany neck, a pearwood fingerboard, a medium scale, Jescar frets (Dunlop #6105 type), original humbuckers (B3/N & B3/B), 2 volume/2 tone controls (with pull-coil split), a 3-way selector switch, and GOTOH tuners and bridge. Following in the footsteps of the SL series—which can be considered the origin of b3 Guitars—this is a hybrid model combining LP and ST styles. There are signs of wear (such as minor scratches, scuffs, wear marks, playing lines, picking marks, and discoloration, pitting, or rust on metal parts and screws, among other cosmetic damage). It was set up upon arrival (cleaning, string replacement, truss rod adjustment, octave adjustment, and string height adjustment). The frets are at a height that poses no issues for playing, and the truss rod has been checked to operate smoothly from 60° to either side with no problems. Condition Grade: B+: Some minor scratches, but no issues for normal use Serial Number: 0024 Country of Manufacture: Japan Case: Hard Case Weight: 3.84 kg Truss Rod: No issues; checked up to 60 degrees to the left and right—no problems Remaining Fret Life: Within normal range; fret height is sufficient for playing String height (low-string side): 2.0 mm at the 12th fret String Height (Treble Side): 1.5 mm at the 12th fret Strings at Setup: ERNIE BALL 2221 / .010-.046 set Repairs and Maintenance Performed: Cleaning, string replacement, truss rod adjustment, octave adjustment, string height adjustment * As this is a used item, there may be scratches, dents, or other imperfections that are not clearly visible in the photos or not listed here.
