From the listing
ATLANSIA’s popular GARLAND BASS model. Handcrafted for many years in Matsumoto, Nagano Prefecture—the heartland of musical instrument manufacturing in Japan—Atlansia is a brand that, despite being favored by numerous artists both in Japan and abroad, rarely appears on the market due to its entirely handmade production process. With its unique shapes and entirely original parts, Atlansia is truly a one-of-a-kind brand with a look and sound that no other manufacturer can replicate. The first thing that surprises players when they pick up an Atlansia bass is the neck grip. The neck shape—which feels almost like a “log” and could be described as extremely thick—embodies Mr. Hayashi’s meticulous attention to detail. He argues that making the neck thicker makes it easier to press the strings down, reduces finger fatigue by eliminating the need to strain, and—thanks to its thickness—makes the neck more durable, thereby reducing the likelihood of neck issues while also improving sustain and dead points—offering nothing but benefits. The fingerboard is made of rosewood. The pickups, fitted with circular covers, feature non-rotating ARC pickups, and the pickup height can be adjusted from the back of the body. With its one-of-a-kind design, exceptional artistry born from the high-level woodworking skills unique to handcrafted instruments, and outstanding playability and responsiveness achieved through meticulously crafted original parts and construction, this is a truly sublime instrument. There are paint chips and dents near the pickups caused by playing. There are also general scuffs and small dents throughout the instrument. Condition Grade: B+: Some minor scratches, but no issues for normal use Serial Number: 221528 Year of Manufacture: 2022 Country of Manufacture: Japan Case: Genuine soft case Weight: 4.61 kg Truss Rod: No issues; rod movement confirmed up to 60 degrees in both directions with no problems Remaining Fret Life: Within normal range; fret heig
