Seller's description

This is a vintage overdrive pedal from Maxon, known as the predecessor to the Ibanez TS-808. Introduced in 1979, this is the original model of the 808 series overdrive, characterized by its warm overdrive tone and rich midrange. This unit is an early-production model built on an MP-D01201A circuit board and equipped with a glossy JRC4558D, featuring original parts from 1979 to 1980. It is a rare vintage 808-series unit that allows you to experience the sound that would later evolve into the world-renowned TS-808. While it shows signs of wear commensurate with its age, it functions perfectly. The battery snap has been replaced.
