Up for sale is my "Mississippi Marshall" Made in USA You will love this amp. Criminally underrated. If you have not done your research, look into it a little bit and check out some of the review forums. I am the second owner. 1979 Peavey Deuce VT Series 2x12 100 Watts I am not an expert on Peavey Amps myself, but I've had 2 pro techs examine it and feel I have the best information possible to describe this for you. We feel that this is a 1979 model. . . possibly earlier - '77 or '78. It appears we have 3 original tubes. When I bought this, the 4th was burned out. However, I was able to track down a close match of the same vintage, which I installed. Needed a lot of cleaning when I got it, but I've been over pretty much every inch of it and can say the amp, speakers and footswitch work perfectly. It's a great amp. Would love to keep it, but this deserves to be played and enjoyed. Here is some info from the Peavey forums: The Peavey Deuce VT 212 is a 100-watt, 2x12 hybrid combo amplifier from the late 1970s/early 1980s, featuring a solid-state preamp and a tube power section (tubes). It is renowned as an incredibly loud, reliable "workhorse" with excellent clean headroom, making it an ideal pedal platform. It often includes built-in phaser, lush reverb, and heavy-duty speakers. Key Features and Performance ·Sound: Known for a very loud, clean tone, often described as a "Mississippi Marshall" with a mix of solid-state clarity and tube warmth. ·Channels: Features two channels (Normal and Effects) with independent gain and volume, both capable of breaking up, though best known for clean headroom. ·Built-in Effects: The VT series is notable for its built-in, highly regarded phaser and reverb. ·Power: 100 watts of tube power makes it loud enough for any gig. ·Weight: Known for being extremely heavy (often over 80 lbs). Pros ·Affordability: Often found used at a low price point, offering great value. ·Pedal Platform: Takes effects pedals exceptionally well. ·Reliabili
