Seller's description

Offered as a companion enclosure for the Classic 30, the Classic 112E is a closed-back cabinet with a Sheffield 1230 speaker. The 16 ohm impedance makes it compatible with any of the Classic 50s, Classic 30s, etc. Each enclosure has a detachable back section, the removal of which revoices the cabinet. However, to obtain maximum low-end response and cabinet-induced tone coloration, the back should remain intact. One particularly good application for this enclosure is in a situation where the room is too small to accommodate two or four 12-inch speakers. In such an environment. The Classic 112E produces a high-volume tone at lower volumes (with cone distortion), because twice as much power is delivered to one twelve- inch speaker as opposed to dividing the signal between two twelves. Excellent condition. All original. Only defects are the missing Peavey nameplate, the beginnings of some cracks in the handle, and some very small dings in the tolex. Difficult to find in any condition, and this one is better than most.
