Seller's description

The MXR Micro Chorus is a vintage analog chorus pedal known for its compact layout and rich, liquid modulation character. This early version features the sought-after Reticon SAD512 BBD chip, a component associated with warm and highly musical analog chorus textures. Using a simple single Rate control, the Micro Chorus delivers everything from subtle shimmer to deeper swirling modulation while maintaining strong clarity and natural dynamics. Its straightforward design makes it especially effective for thickening clean tones, adding movement to arpeggios, or creating smooth lead textures without overpowering the original guitar signal. Compared to many later chorus designs, the vintage Micro Chorus is appreciated for its organic response, soft modulation sweep, and classic late-1970s analog character. The pedal pairs particularly well with clean amplifiers, edge-of-breakup tones, and vintage-style pedalboards. Confirmed notable users include Zakk Wylde (Ozzy Osbourne, Black Label Society), Dimebag Darrell (Pantera), and Jerry Cantrell (Alice in Chains). This example is presented in mint condition and includes the original box.
