Seller's description

The MXR Custom Badass '78 Distortion is a factory-modded pedal that takes a classic distortion circuit and elevates it to the next level, delivering over-the-top soaring leads and rich, saturated rhythms. With only three knobs, it's easy to dial in the perfect Badass tone. One of the standout features of this pedal is the CRUNCH button, which allows you to choose between two different modes of diode and LED clipping. This feature boosts the harmonic content of the distortion, adding even more character and versatility to your sound. The '78 Distortion offers a wide-open, amp-like sound that sounds fantastic whether used in front of a clean amp, a slightly dirty amp, or a fully overdriven amp. Its versatility and rich tonal palette make it an ideal choice for guitarists looking to achieve big amp stack tones and vintage tube amp-like distortion. Under the hood, the MXR Custom Badass '78 Distortion boasts top-notch circuitry and hardware, ensuring optimal performance and reliability for a lifetime of use. This pedal can be powered using a 9-volt battery or connected to a power adapter. The recommended power adapter is the Dunlop ECB003 9-volt adapter. Additionally, it is compatible with MXR's DC Brick, Iso-Brick, and Mini Iso-Brick power supplies (though these are not included with the pedal). For guitarists seeking a pedal that roars with vintage-inspired distortion and delivers a range of amp stack tones, the MXR Custom Badass '78 Distortion is an excellent choice. Its hot-rodded classic circuit, CRUNCH switch, and high-quality construction make it a versatile and dependable tool for achieving your desired sound and tone.
