Seller's description

The MXR Custom Badass Modified O.D. takes a classic overdrive circuit and enhances it with modern modifications, resulting in improved performance and enhanced versatility. One of the standout features of this pedal is the addition of a 100HZ cut and boost control. This control allows you to adjust the EQ response of the overdrive, providing added flexibility to tailor the tone to your liking. When cut, it can help create a more focused and tight EQ, while when boosted, it adds a beefier and fuller tone. Another useful feature is the Bump switch, which engages an alternate EQ voicing. When activated, the Bump switch boosts the lows and mids, giving your overdrive a different sonic character and allowing for even more tonal variations. The MXR Custom Badass Modified O.D. is designed to work seamlessly in combination with the '78 Custom Badass Distortion. When placed in front of the '78 Distortion, the Modified O.D. can create a myriad of amp-like gain structures while preserving the integrity of your original tone. As with all MXR pedals, the Custom Badass Modified O.D. is built with the same durable components and top-notch circuitry that MXR is known for, ensuring reliability and consistent performance. This pedal can be powered using a 9-volt battery or connected to a power adapter. The recommended power adapter is the Dunlop ECB003 9-volt adapter. Additionally, it is compatible with MXR's DC Brick, Iso-Brick, and Mini Iso-Brick power supplies (though these are not included with the pedal). For guitarists seeking a versatile and high-performance overdrive pedal, the MXR Custom Badass Modified O.D. offers a classic foundation with modern upgrades. The added 100HZ control and Bump switch provide additional tonal options, making it a valuable tool for shaping your ideal overdrive sound.
