Seller's description

The MXR M135 Smart Gate is a noise gate pedal designed to remove unwanted hiss, hum, and background noise from high-gain amplifiers and complex pedal chains without sacrificing the nuances of your playing. Its intelligent circuitry senses precisely when and how quickly to engage: it reacts gradually during long sustained notes, so chords ring out naturally, and snaps into action during fast, syncopated passages such as palm-muted riffs, adding definition and clarity. The pedal offers three selectable noise reduction ranges, Hiss for high-frequency noise, Mid for noisy guitar amplifiers, and Full for wide-range signals and bass rigs, allowing it to be matched to virtually any signal source. A precise threshold trigger determines how much gating is applied, while the hardwire bypass and clean circuitry preserve your core tone. The Smart Gate can be powered by a 9-volt battery or a standard 9-volt power adapter. The MXR brand was founded in Rochester, New York in 1972 and has since become one of the most respected names in guitar effects. Notable users of the MXR M135 Smart Gate include Mark Tremonti (Alter Bridge) and Kerry King (Slayer).
