Seller's description

Built to capture the crushing high-gain tones that defined Eddie Van Halen’s modern era, the MXR EVH Modern High Gain Pedal delivers explosive distortion with the precision and control serious players demand. Developed as part of the long-running collaboration between MXR and Eddie Van Halen, this pedal draws inspiration from the searing red channel of the EVH 5150III amplifier, translating that aggressive amp tone into a compact stompbox that hits hard while staying articulate.  The result is a pedal that thrives on saturation but never loses definition. Output and Gain controls allow you to dial in everything from tight, percussive rhythm tones to harmonically rich lead sounds, while the powerful three-band EQ lets you fine-tune bass response, midrange punch, and top-end bite to match your guitar and amp.  What sets the EVH Modern High Gain apart is the level of control it gives you over extreme gain. A Boost switch pushes the front end harder for more saturation and sustain, while the Bass Shift switch toggles between 55Hz and 80Hz to shape the low-end response—either tightening it up for fast, aggressive riffs or expanding it for heavier, thunderous attack. An onboard noise gate keeps everything clean and controlled even when the gain is cranked, letting your playing stay punchy and articulate in high-gain environments.  From tight modern metal rhythms to soaring Van Halen-inspired leads, the MXR EVH Modern High Gain Pedal delivers massive tone, precise control, and unmistakable attitude—bringing the spirit of EVH’s high-gain sound straight to your pedalboard. .
