Mozztronics BP-8 Tube Bass Preamp

Seller's description

Based on the Classic F2B Bass Preamp by Alembic, Mozztronics have taken the essence of the circuit from the F2B preamp and fit it inside a pedal. Using a physical 12AX7 tube inside just as the preamp does, the folks at Mozztronics have gone old school and used circuits that were used to generate high voltage in old television sets to generate the high voltage for the tube in this pedal. The F2B had a single volume control so if was a clean only preamp. We wanted more so we added a Drive control and and output Volume control as well as the F2B preamp's 3 band tone stack. This is a low to medium gain monster, we think you will like it as much as we do. GAIN controls the amount of overdrive from clean to a nice dirty drive, BASS, MID and TREBLE are the 3 knob tone stack as found in the actual F2B preamp, and VOLUME adjusts the overall output volume of the pedal. There is a lot of output available here, Start with output volume at 9 o’clock. A few lovely people have taken the time to write to me about their BP-8’s “this is the unobtainable sound i hear in my head” “this brings my little PJB amp to life” Wow, thanks, I’m very happy you enjoy my products. As with other Mozztronics Tube Drive pedals (TD-900, TD-900N and TD-800) this pedal is powered from an external 15VAC to 16VAC supply. Mozztronics uses the industry standard 2.1mm socket for the power supply connection. Includes (AUS) 15 Volt AC power supply.
