Seller's description

The Morley BVB Black Gold Volume Boost is a vintage volume and boost pedal from the Tel-Ray era of Morley production. Housed in the large, rugged enclosure characteristic of early Morley pedals, the BVB combines foot-controlled volume adjustment with a switchable boost function, making it useful for dynamic level control and adding extra output when required. Like other classic Morley designs from this period, the Black Gold Volume Boost uses an electro-optical control system rather than a conventional potentiometer mechanically connected to the treadle. This approach provides smooth volume changes while avoiding the wear and mechanical noise associated with a traditional treadle-operated volume pot. The broad pedal travel allows gradual control over the signal level, making the BVB suitable for volume swells as well as general volume adjustment. The separate boost function provides additional level for bringing lead passages forward or driving the next stage of a signal chain harder. With its distinctive Black Gold styling, substantial metal chassis and Tel-Ray construction, the BVB represents the oversized electro-optical Morley pedal designs of the vintage era. This vintage example has serial number SLI015634.
