Up for sale is a vintage custom germanium fuzz pedal owned by Michael "WHIP" Wilton of Queensrÿche. This unique round enclosure features WHIP's original hand-applied tape labels identifying the controls and jacks, including IN, OUT, VOLUME, and FUZZ, providing a direct connection to one of hard rock and metal's most respected guitarists.Unlike mass-produced pedals, this unit appears to be a custom-built or small-shop-built fuzz pedal, housed in a distinctive round metal enclosure finished in a charcoal gray textured crackle finish. The enclosure shows extensive cosmetic wear, scratches, paint loss, and age-related character consistent with decades of use by a working musician.Internally, the pedal contains a classic two-transistor germanium fuzz circuit with internal bias trimpots, sharing design characteristics with vintage fuzz circuits from the late 1970s through mid-1990s. The circuit is built on a brown single-sided PCB with a combination of board-mounted and point-to-point wiring. Power is supplied via battery only; no DC input jack is present. The pedal currently passes signal and functions, however an intermittent short was discovered between the battery connector and circuit board when the pedal is moved. A brand-new battery snap connector is included with the sale, providing the next owner the option to perform a simple repair while preserving the originality of this artist-owned piece.Based on the construction methods, components, and layout, the pedal most likely dates from approximately 1982–1995, with the enclosure style and circuit design fitting squarely within the era of custom-built fuzz pedals popular among touring guitarists and hobby builders. Please review all photos carefully for exact cosmetic condition.IncludedVintage custom germanium fuzz pedal owned by Michael "WHIP" Wilton of QueensrÿcheOriginal internal circuit and componentsNew replacement battery snap connector (not installed)Exactly the items shown in the photosNo other items such as ca
