Seller's description

The Maxx RD-80 Delay is a vintage analog delay pedal featuring the classic MN3208 bucket brigade delay chip paired with the MN3102 clock driver. This sought-after chipset is known for producing warm, organic repeats with the natural compression and gradual high-frequency roll-off that define traditional analog delay sounds. The RD-80 delivers everything from short slapback echoes to spacious ambient repeats, making it suitable for rock, blues, fusion, and classic lead tones. As the delay feedback is increased, the pedal develops the characteristic analog regeneration and musical self-oscillation that many players associate with vintage bucket brigade designs. Unlike digital delays, the RD-80 emphasizes warmth and texture over absolute repeat accuracy. The repeats sit naturally behind the dry signal, adding depth and atmosphere without overwhelming the original guitar tone. This makes it an excellent choice for players seeking authentic vintage analog delay character in a compact format. The combination of the MN3208 and MN3102 chips has become increasingly appreciated among vintage effects enthusiasts, contributing to the pedal's distinctive sound and collectibility.
