Seller's description

The Maxon SB-300 Master Switch is a vintage, narrow-box utility pedal from the early days of Japanese pedal design, making it a rare and highly collectible piece of gear. Originally produced in the late 1970s and early 1980s, it was built as a master bypass switcher, allowing players to control and route multiple pedals or signal paths with ease. Compact and straightforward in design, the SB-300 features a rugged metal enclosure with a single footswitch and sturdy jacks, built to withstand heavy stage use. Its purpose was to give guitarists and bassists the ability to engage or bypass entire effects chains with one stomp, offering a practical solution long before modern loop switchers became standard. Today, the SB-300 is sought after by collectors and vintage pedal enthusiasts due to its rarity, unique narrow-box format, and historical importance in Maxon’s legacy. For players interested in classic pedalboard functionality or for those building a vintage-inspired rig, this Master Switch represents a piece of pedal history.
