Seller's description

The Maxon ‘Greco Makes It’ PT-999 Phase Tone is a rare vintage phaser celebrated for its smooth, musical character and understated simplicity. Produced in Japan during the mid- to late-1970s, this special Greco-labeled variant represents an early iteration of the PT-999 circuit, known for its warm, liquid-like sweep and excellent guitar-to-amp transparency. Equipped with a single Speed control, the PT-999 focuses entirely on delivering the classic four-stage phasing tone with minimal noise and consistent depth. Its wide rate range allows for everything from slow, syrupy movement to lively, shimmering modulation. The pedal’s analog circuitry is prized for retaining low-end clarity and maintaining the natural feel of the instrument, making it equally suitable for guitar, bass, and vintage keyboards. Highly collectible and increasingly difficult to find, the ‘Greco Makes It’ edition stands out for its historical value, distinctive branding, and unmistakably rich 1970s phasing tone. Its durable Japanese construction further enhances its reputation as a reliable and inspiring piece of effects-pedal history.
