Seller's description

The Marshall JMP 2203 Mk2 Master Model Lead 100-Watt Guitar Amp Head is widely considered the ultimate blueprint for heavy rock guitar tone. Introduced by Marshall in 1975 and produced through 1981, it revolutionized the industry by introducing a cascaded preamp gain stage paired with a true master volume circuit. This design allowed guitarists to achieve thick, aggressive preamp saturation and iconic British crunch without running the 100-watt power section at deafening, maximum volume levels. It served as the direct precursor to the famed JCM800 2203, packing massive headroom, authoritative low-end punch, and a biting midrange that defined the sound of late 70s rock, early thrash, and the New Wave of British Heavy Metal.
