The Marshall AS50D is a versatile 50-watt acoustic amplifier designed for electro-acoustic instruments, microphones and compact singer-songwriter setups. Its two independent channels allow an acoustic instrument and vocal microphone to be amplified through one portable system, with separate volume, bass and treble controls for each channel. Two custom 8-inch speakers are paired with a dedicated 4-inch tweeter to reproduce the detail, clarity and extended high-frequency response required by acoustic instruments and vocals. The AS50D works with magnetic and piezo pickup systems, while its XLR microphone input supplies phantom power for compatible condenser microphones and also supports dynamic microphones. Built-in chorus and digital reverb provide useful sound enhancement without requiring additional effects pedals. Phase and frequency-selective notch controls help manage acoustic feedback, while the emulated DI output, line output and parallel effects loop make the AS50D suitable for home use, rehearsals, recording and intimate performances.
