Seller's description

Up for sale is a 2005 Marshall 1960AC Classic 100-Watt 4x12" Angled Speaker Cabinet, one of the most iconic speaker cabinets ever produced and a cornerstone of the classic Marshall backline. Loaded with four Celestion G12M Greenback speakers, the 1960AC delivers the unmistakable vintage British tone that has shaped countless legendary recordings and live performances. This example is in Excellent condition, having been well cared for throughout its life. It presents beautifully for its age, with only light cosmetic signs of use consistent with careful ownership. Structurally, it is in excellent shape and performs exactly as it should, delivering the huge, room-filling sound that has made the 1960 series a favourite of guitarists for decades. The angled ("A") cabinet design projects sound more effectively than its straight-front counterpart, helping you hear yourself more clearly on stage while also providing excellent dispersion for the audience. Whether paired with a vintage Marshall head or a modern high-gain amplifier, this cabinet has the authority, punch, and projection to handle virtually any musical situation. Fitted with four 12-inch Celestion G12M Greenback speakers, the 1960AC offers a warmer, more vintage-inspired voice than many modern 4x12s. Expect rich midrange, smooth top-end response, and the unmistakable woody compression that Greenbacks are renowned for when pushed. Clean tones remain open and articulate, while overdriven sounds develop the harmonically rich crunch that has become synonymous with classic British rock. Rated at 100 watts and switchable between mono (16Ω or 4Ω) and stereo (8Ω per side) operation, the cabinet offers excellent flexibility whether you're running a single amplifier or a stereo rig. The robust birch ply construction and legendary Marshall build quality ensure it is every bit as dependable as it is great sounding.
