Seller's description

Absolutely cool bass and fun playing bass Body: Often solid Maple, sometimes with a Walnut/Maple/Walnut center stripe. Neck: Bolt-on aluminum neck with wooden (often maple) inserts and an Ebonol fretboard. Headstock: Split fork aluminum headstock. Frets: 20 frets plus a zero fret. Nut: Aluminum nut. Tuners: Schaller tuners. Electronics and controls Pickup: Original DiMarzio P Pickup (split coil). Some variations, like the PJJ configuration, might feature a combination of split-coil and single-coil pickups. Controls: Typically includes Volume, Tone, and a 2-way mini tone switch. The PJJ configuration has separate Volume and Tone controls for the split-coil and single-coil pickups, as well as on/off mini-toggle switches for each pickup. Active/Passive: Available in passive configurations. Some models, potentially the DMZ 4000 (a precursor to the 4001), featured active electronics and a coil tap switch. Measurements Scale Length: 34". Neck Thickness: Approximately 0.85" at the 1st fret and 0.95" at the 12th fret. Nut Width: 1 1/2". Weight: Around 9 lbs 13 oz. The weight can vary, with some examples weighing up to 10 lbs 3 oz. Other features The DMZ series was introduced in 1978 and marked a shift towards DiMarzio pickups and roller-type nuts for Kramer's aluminum neck instruments. The aluminum neck was a key feature, providing stability and sustain. Wooden inserts in the neck were intended to mitigate the cold feel of the aluminum. The DMZ 4001 replaced the earlier DMZ 4000 model around 1979. Finishes included natural (often showcasing the wood grain) and black. Often shipped with a hardshell case. This item is used and is expected to show signs of use
