Hofner Ignition Special Edition Violin Bass (Black)

Seller's description

Based on Hofner's violin basses from the 19070s, the Ignition Special Edition bass has that same old school look and tone but in a modern, affordable bass. This bass has a fully hollow construction which gives it a woody tone with a punchy midrange, similar to that of an upright bass and is picked up through the two Hofner staple pickups. It also has a short scale length at 30" which gives it a looser string feel for more comfortable fretting as well as a deeper, rounder sound. The Ignition Special Edition is full of vintage-style appointments to match its tone. Appointments include a wooden saddle with trapeze tailpiece, control panel with Teacup knobs, a classic Hofner logo on the body and the iconic sunburst finish.
