Heather Brown Electronicals Darlene Compression

Seller's description

A great compressor should be the foundation of your tone, not a compromise you learn to live with. Too many do exactly that - flattening feel, choking dynamics, and introducing noise where there should be clarity. Darlene was built to correct all of that. At its core, Darlene is an ultra-quiet analog compressor designed around a simple but demanding premise: foundational effects should be flawless, dependable, and genuinely inspiring. The voicing is intentionally neutral — no added color, no smear, no artifacts. What you get instead is consistent shape and feel across every note, rich sustain that sounds natural rather than processed, and silent operation that lets your signal breathe. It's the kind of compressor that disappears into your sound in the best possible way. The control set is purposefully minimal. Sustain dials in your compression depth, a dry blend preserves articulation and keeps your pick attack intact, and a volume control lets you sit at unity or push just past it for a subtle boost. Darlene runs on standard 9V or 18V - the higher voltage option expanding headroom and adding a touch more compression character for players who want it. Three controls. No compromises. Everything compression should be and nothing it shouldn't.
