Seller's description

The Hagstrom Viking Bass in Tobacco Sunburst is a beautifully styled short-scale semi-hollow electric bass that combines classic 1960s-inspired design with versatile modern electronics, comfortable playability and distinctive vintage character. Inspired by Hagstrom's original Concord Bass of the 1960s, the Viking Bass features a traditional double-cutaway semi-hollow body, laminated maple construction and a comfortable 30.75-inch short scale. This combination provides the warm, resonant character associated with vintage hollowbody basses while retaining the definition and versatility required for contemporary performance. At the heart of the Viking Bass are two specially designed Hagstrom Dyna-Rail humbucking pickups, paired with an innovative six-position rotary selector. This arrangement allows players to explore both humbucking and single-coil pickup configurations, producing an impressive variety of sounds. From deep, rounded vintage bass tones to articulate, punchy rock sounds and brighter single-coil textures, the Viking Bass is considerably more versatile than its traditional appearance might suggest. The set Canadian hard maple neck features Hagstrom's distinctive H-Expander truss rod, while the Resinator fingerboard, 21 medium jumbo frets and compact scale length provide a comfortable and responsive playing experience. The attractive Tobacco Sunburst finish complements the guitar's traditional f-holes, pearl block fingerboard inlays, chrome hardware and elegant trapeze tailpiece. This particular Hagstrom Viking Bass is presented in Very Good Pre-Owned Condition, weighs 7.74 lbs (approximately 3.51kg) and is supplied without a hardcase or gig bag. For bassists seeking a distinctive short-scale instrument with classic semi-hollow styling, versatile pickup combinations and a comfortable playing feel, the Hagstrom Viking Bass offers an excellent alternative to conventional solid-body bass guitars.
