From the listing
This second hand bass is in great condition The Hagstrom Viking Bass takes inspiration from classic semi-hollow bass designs, it combines vintage styling with Hagstrom's distinctive approach to construction and electronics. The result is a bass that looks familiar, but has enough of its own character to make it an interesting alternative to the usual Fender and Gibson-style designs. The first thing you notice is the semi-hollow body. With its elegant double-cutaway shape, traditional f-holes and vintage-inspired styling, the Viking Bass has plenty of visual appeal. It looks equally at home in a rockabilly band, a classic rock outfit or a more contemporary setting. The body shape also makes it comfortable to play, with good access to the upper frets. The Viking Bass has a warm and rounded character that suits its semi-hollow construction. The Hagstrom humbucking pickups provide plenty of low-end authority while retaining a useful amount of clarity and definition. There is a pleasing fullness to the sound, particularly when playing with the neck pickup, while the bridge pickup can add extra bite and presence. The bass is particularly effective for classic rock, blues, indie and vintage-style music. It can produce a surprisingly punchy sound when required, but its greatest strength is probably its warm, woody character. Players looking for an alternative to the more familiar precision and jazz bass sound will find plenty to like here. The construction feels solid, while the vintage styling gives the instrument plenty of personality. It is also an instrument that looks considerably more expensive than many basses in its price range. The combination of the semi-hollow body, elegant hardware and Hagstrom branding gives it a real sense of individuality. Although it naturally lends itself to vintage sounds, adjusting the pickup controls and EQ can produce a much broader range of tones. It can handle everything from restrained fingerstyle lines to more aggressive rock
