Seller's description

The Guyatone HR-2 Hard Rocker Distortion is a compact vintage distortion pedal from Japan, designed in the 1980s to deliver high-gain rock tones in a simple and reliable format. Known for its raw and saturated sound, the HR-2 produces thick distortion with strong sustain and a pronounced midrange character that cuts through in a band mix. Its layout is straightforward, featuring only two knobs: Level and Gain. The Level control adjusts the overall output volume, while the Gain knob sets the amount of distortion, ranging from crunchy overdrive to fully saturated hard rock tones. Despite its simplicity, the pedal responds dynamically to playing style and guitar volume, making it versatile for rhythm parts and soaring leads alike. Built in Japan with a durable, compact housing, the HR-2 embodies the reliability and tonal character that make vintage Guyatone pedals highly collectible today. It is an excellent choice for players seeking authentic 80s distortion with no-frills operation and unmistakable Japanese craftsmanship.
