Seller's description

EHX Andy Summers Walking on the Moon Flanger/Filter Matrix Pedal During his tenure with the Police, Andy Summers perfected a liquid, chorus-drenched, flange-soaked tone that pushed the boundaries of what an electric guitar could sound like in a rock trio setting. The Electro-Harmonix Andy Summers Walking on the Moon pays tribute to this elusive sound, enabling you to infuse your own playing with the slippery shimmer that fueled so many of the Police's classic songs. First and foremost, the Walking on the Moon is an analog flanger pedal with Color, Range, and Rate knobs that unlock a wide breadth of modulation effects. Its unique Filter Matrix switch disengages the flanger circuit's LFO for a fixed effect. You also get dedicated Dry and Flanged outputs. Finally, the EHX Andy Summers Walking on the Moon's housing dons Special Artist Edition graphics, and it comes with a tribute poster designed by celebrated artist Laura Josephson. A ghost of modulation effects in the machine Andy Summers' modulation-heavy tones were his stock in trade during the Police's heyday, and the EHX Andy Summers Walking on the Moon has them in spades. Best of all, all these sounds are easily accessible using the stompbox's simple 3-knob layout. The Color knob controls the intensity of the pedal's flange effect, supplying you with everything from subtle chorus-esque coloration to full-blown jet-plane swooshes. The Range knob dials in how wide the effect sweeps into the low-frequency range. The Rate knob adjusts the modulation speed, yielding slow sweeps, quivering vibrato, and everything in between. Guitarists across the globe especially like the Walking on the Moon's Filter Matrix. This switch disengages the flanger circuit's LFO to produce a fixed filter effect that lends ear-grabbing metallic overtones to your playing without the movement you'd normally experience with a typical chorus or flanger pedal.
