Seller's description

The EarthQuaker Devices ZEQD-Pre is an all-analogue EF86 tube preamp and amp simulation solution, developed in collaboration with Dr. Z Amplification. Designed to bring genuine valve response to a pedalboard-sized format, the ZEQD-Pre combines an EF86 pentode preamp with a passive three-band EQ, full-range boost, headphone output, balanced XLR direct output and analogue cabinet simulation. Use it for silent headphone practice, direct recording, amplifier-free live rigs, pedalboard preamp duties or as the front end of a traditional guitar amplifier. Multiple outputs can operate simultaneously, making the ZEQD-Pre particularly useful for musicians who want one compact unit to handle stage, studio and practice applications. The ZEQD-Pre combines EarthQuaker Devices pedal design with Dr. Z Amplification's valve-amplifier expertise. At its heart is an EF86 pentode valve, chosen for its high gain capability, wide frequency response and dynamic playing feel. Rather than digitally modelling an amplifier, the ZEQD-Pre uses an analogue valve preamp and analogue cabinet simulation to create a responsive direct guitar signal. The result is a highly flexible end-of-chain solution that can feed headphones, an au
