Seller's description

Brilliant tameable fuzz that always delivers great tone!Fuzz can be a fickle mistress. Too trebly, too mushy, not distinct enough - we've all heard bad fuzz tones. But we've all heard the great fuzz tones, too. How do ya get that sound, you ask? One place to start is this nasty and sweet fuzz box from Earthquaker Devices. The Hoof Fuzz packs a massive punch, all the while retaining a distinct and focused fuzz attack that will cut through the mix with some real character. The secret is the germanium/silicon hybrid circuit, which gives massive gain, but smooth amp-like sustain. This is the no-brainer fuzz pedal that will trample and rampage through the night. The Earthquaker Devices Hoof Fuzz is absolutely pure and simple - in a most excellent way. This does everything from dirty and organic overdrive to absolutely monstrous sustaining big muff madness. This is a germanium/silicon hybrid which is based on the classic green Russian muff, and has enormous amounts of volume on tap with a smooth sustain that is similar to an overdriven amplifier. The Hoof Fuzz has some real clarity and distinctiveness that provides a tight and controlled signal that will surely be heard through the mix. The Shift control is something new for the Hoof Fuzz, providing changes in the frequency response of the tone control. This primarily affects the treble side of the tone equation, but it also diminishes any unnecessary mudiness on the bass side, too. Scoop those mids, too and boost 'em as well - lots of tonal shaping options of the fuzz connoisseur. If you set the shift control at 12 o'clock you get the original frequency response as the original Hoof, which is just slightly scooped. The Earthquaker Devices Hoof Fuzz delivers a whole mess of fuzz nastiness in one sick stompbox - this is a key pedal on some very famous fuzz enthusiasts' boards, and now that gnarled tone you've always sought can be obtained.
