The EarthQuaker Devices Hizumitas Fuzz Sustainar is a powerful analogue fuzz pedal created in collaboration with Wata of Boris, recreating the character of her heavily used vintage Elk BM Sustainar. Designed for players who want huge low end, thick distortion, gritty texture and long smooth sustain, the Hizumitas delivers crushing power chords without losing the clarity needed for open chords and lead playing. Its simple Volume, Sustain and Tone controls cover everything from aggressive mid-focused fuzz to enormous bass-heavy walls of sound. Ideal for doom, stoner rock, sludge, shoegaze, alternative, psychedelic and heavy experimental guitar, the Hizumitas is an excellent choice for players who love classic Big Muff-style fuzz but want something with its own distinctive Japanese-inspired character. The result is an extremely saturated fuzz with a gritty edge and substantial low-frequency response, while retaining surprising note definition. Power chords sound enormous, open chords remain articulate and sustained single-note leads have plenty of weight and presence. Simple Three-Knob Control Despite its enormous sound,
