Seller's description

The EarthQuaker Devices Fuzz Master General is a modern reimagining of the vintage Ace Tone FM-2 Professional fuzz. Designed for today's players, it delivers a wider range of fuzz tones with precise control. Its improved Fuzz knob allows for fine adjustment, offering everything from subtle grit to aggressive, saturated fuzz. This makes it equally suitable for players looking to add texture to their sound or to cut through a mix with powerful, high-gain tones. One of the standout features is the three-way Voice toggle, which lets users switch between germanium clipping, silicon clipping, or no diode clipping. Each mode significantly alters the character of the effect. Germanium provides a looser, more open fuzz with higher output, ideal for dynamic playing. Silicon offers a tighter, more compressed fuzz that enhances definition and control. The no diode clipping option delivers a nearly clean octave-up effect that borders on ring modulation, making it a versatile choice for experimental tones or unique lead sounds. The Fuzz Master General also includes a fully variable Tone control, replacing the original two-position switch. This allows players to shape their sound with greater precision, from bright treble-focused fuzz to deep, scooped low-end tones. Combined with its expanded feature set, the Fuzz Master General offers far more versatility than the original unit while preserving the signature octave-driven fuzz character. It is a practical and powerful tool for players who want both classic fuzz tones and modern flexibility in a single pedal. This pedal features Flexi-Switch Technology allowing for both latching and momentary switching operations simultaneously.
