Seller's description

The DigiTech Whammy 5 is the fifth-generation iteration of the iconic pitch-shifting pedal, renowned for its expressive capabilities and unique sound. This version introduces polyphonic pitch shifting, allowing guitarists to play chords with accurate pitch tracking, a significant advancement over previous models. The pedal features a Classic/Chords switch, enabling users to toggle between the original monophonic mode and the new polyphonic mode, catering to both traditional and modern playing styles. Equipped with an expression pedal, the Whammy 5 offers real-time control over pitch bends, harmonies, and detune effects. It includes ten Whammy settings, nine Harmony settings, and two Detune settings, providing a wide range of tonal possibilities. The addition of true bypass switching ensures that the pedal does not colour the guitar's tone when disengaged, preserving signal integrity. Furthermore, the inclusion of a MIDI input allows for external control, facilitating seamless integration into complex setups. The Whammy 5 is powered by a 9V DC power supply and requires a current draw of 1300mA, necessitating a compatible power source. Its robust construction and user-friendly interface make it suitable for both studio and live performance environments. Whether aiming to replicate the signature sounds of artists like Tom Morello and Jack White or exploring new sonic territories, the DigiTech Whammy 5 offers a versatile tool for creative expression.
