Created exclusively for Detroit Guitar, this custom finish gives the classic '56 U2 an unmistakable vintage-inspired look while preserving everything that has made the model a favorite of players for generations. Built with Danelectro's signature semi-hollow construction, the '56 U2 delivers the unmistakable chime, snap, and airy resonance that has defined countless recordings since the original debuted in the 1950s. A pair of lipstick pickups produce sparkling cleans, jangly rhythm tones, and a gritty overdrive that sits perfectly in everything from surf and blues to indie, alternative, and classic rock. The lightweight body and comfortable maple neck make the '56 U2 an effortless guitar to play, while its stacked volume and tone controls allow each pickup to be dialed in independently for a surprising range of sounds.
