Greg is renowned as Robben Ford's exclusive guitar builder, and is known for his expertise in building Telecasters. Compared to a Stratocaster, a Telecaster has fewer parts, and the assembly and quality of the wood itself have a greater impact on the sound. This may make it particularly easy for Greg, who has honed his skills through years of experience as a master builder, to demonstrate his talents. The pickups are Josefina Hand Wound 67 Tele. The sound has a solid midrange that not only cuts cleanly, but also has thickness when distorted, making it an extremely well-balanced guitar that's easy to use. It's not very visible in the photo, but the entire guitar is weather checked. The spec sheet specifies heavy checking and light dings, and even small dents have been reproduced, giving it a texture closer to a Jouneyman Relic than a Closet Classic.
