This second hand pedal is in very good condition The Catalinbread Fuzzrite is a faithful recreation of one of the most distinctive fuzz pedals ever made. Based on the legendary Mosrite Fuzzrite from the 1960s, it captures the raw, cutting and aggressive character that helped define the sound of garage rock, psychedelic music and surf-inspired fuzz. Rather than chasing the thick, woolly tones of a Big Muff or the smooth warmth of a Fuzz Face, the Fuzzrite embraces a brighter, raspier voice that slices effortlessly through a mix. With just two controls, Volume and Depth, the pedal is wonderfully straightforward to use. The Depth control adjusts the intensity and brightness of the fuzz, ranging from gritty, slightly broken-up textures to an all-out wall of snarling silicon fuzz. At higher settings, the pedal produces the splatty, buzzy attack that made the original Fuzzrite famous, while still retaining impressive note clarity and articulation. What sets the Catalinbread version apart is its build quality and reliability. The original vintage units could be inconsistent, but Catalinbread has recreated the circuit with carefully selected modern components while preserving the unmistakable voice of the classic pedal. The addition of a standard 9V power input also makes it far more pedalboard friendly than many vintage fuzzes. Tonally, the Fuzzrite excels at vintage-inspired sounds. It delivers the cutting fuzz heard on recordings by The Ventures and Iron Butterfly, while also finding favour with modern players seeking garage rock, indie and alternative tones. It is especially effective with single-coil guitars, where its sharp midrange bite and sizzling top end really come alive. Unlike darker fuzz pedals, the Fuzzrite never gets lost in a busy band mix. Pros Authentic recreation of the classic Mosrite Fuzzrite sound Bright, cutting fuzz that stands out in any mix Excellent build quality and reliable modern construction Simple controls make it quick to dial
