Seller's description

The Boss OD-2 Turbo Overdrive is a distinctive analog overdrive pedal known for its dynamic response and expressive gain character. This Made in Taiwan black label unit has been professionally modified to studio quality specifications, improving transparency, noise performance, and overall tonal balance while preserving the musical character of the original design. The modification features upgraded high-quality capacitors with increased values, resulting in a wider frequency spectrum and enhanced clarity across the entire signal range. The signal path has been fully optimized for improved transparency and a more open tonal response, while maintaining the natural dynamics associated with the original circuit. The clipping section has been carefully redesigned using an alternative diode configuration combined with LEDs, contributing to a more refined distortion texture with improved harmonic detail and articulation. The circuit remains fully transistor-based, without the use of integrated circuits, preserving the discrete character of the original design while benefiting from modern component quality. Noise performance has been optimized for quiet operation in professional studio environments. The pedal features a white LED and includes the original box and manual. Serial number CA95707 is present on this unit.
