Seller's description

The Boss CS-3 Compression Sustainer is a classic compact compressor pedal designed to smooth out dynamics, increase sustain and add definition to guitar and bass signals. Its compression evens out differences between softer and harder notes while preserving playing clarity, making it useful for clean rhythm work, funk, country-style picking, lead tones and sustained passages. Four controls provide straightforward adjustment of the effect. Level sets the overall output volume, Tone adjusts the tonal character, Attack determines how the initial transient of each note is handled, and Sustain controls the amount and duration of compression. This layout allows the CS-3 to range from subtle dynamic control to a more pronounced compressed sound with extended sustain. The CS-3 follows the familiar Boss compact pedal format, with a sturdy metal enclosure and buffered bypass switching. Its combination of compression, sustain and tone shaping has made it a long-running part of the Boss effects range and a practical choice for players who want consistent dynamics and additional control over their signal. This silver-label example was made in Taiwan and has serial number B8K3244. It comes with its box.
