Dynamic and Expressive - The Bedell Seed to Song Parlor Size Acoustic Guitar - Quilted Maple and Adirondack Spruce with a Sapphire Finish - CHUCKSCLUSIVE The Bedell Guitars conviction is that extraordinary acoustic guitars can be responsibly crafted from the world's most precious tonewoods - a stewardship that they intend to execute without conflict, and without destruction and depletion of world resources - completely in harmony with the actions of sustaining existing forests, and honoring indigenous cultures and economies that live among them. The phrase, "From Seed to Song" expresses that inherent stewardship. A New Parlor Shape Bedell's signature 12-fret is actually a new shape for parlor guitars. The lower bout is both wider and longer than traditional parlors, giving the instrument more air volume - and therefore more sound. As a 12-fret to the body design, the bridge is placed right in the center of the lower bout, enhancing the modal dynamics to deliver more efficient and pronounced sound. Wood Notes An Adirondack top delivers volume and clarity without distortion, even with heavy picking. Adirondack spruce is relatively heavy, with a high velocity of sound, and it has the highest stiffness of all acoustic top woods. The maple of the body and sides for this instrument is sourced from (approximately) century-old bigleaf maple trees. Quilted maple is popular for it's looks, but is comparatively rare geographically, being sourced primarily from the bigleaf maples of the Pacific Northwest U.S. and Canada.
