The Bad Cat Mod Shop Black Cat 30 Head is more than a new version of a classic—it represents one of the final amplifier designs touched by legendary amp designer Mark Sampson. Revisited and reimagined in Bad Cat's Costa Mesa Mod Shop, this limited-production amplifier takes the iconic Black Cat platform and gives it a bolder, more open voice with increased dimensionality and responsiveness. Powered by four EL84 tubes and custom hand-wound Bad Cat transformers, the Black Cat 30 delivers the unmistakable chime, harmonic richness, and touch sensitivity that made the original a boutique amp benchmark while adding a newly voiced tone stack that feels larger, more articulate, and more dynamic than ever before. Built entirely in California with premium components and meticulous craftsmanship, this is a Black Cat for players who appreciate the history behind the design and demand the highest level of performance. Description: The Mod Shop Black Cat 30 Head features two independent channels that cover everything from shimmering cleans to rich, harmonically complex overdrive. The clean channel delivers the classic EL84 sparkle and bloom players expect from a world-class boutique amplifier, remaining articulate and responsive whether you're fingerpicking, playing open chords, or stacking pedals. Channel two introduces a punchy, expressive overdrive voice that retains clarity and note separation even at higher gain settings. Combined with studio-quality reverb, bias-modulated tremolo, a buffered effects loop, and multiple speaker output options, the Black Cat 30 offers exceptional versatility without sacrificing the character that has made the Black Cat one of Bad Cat's most celebrated designs. Features: 30-watt all-tube amplifier head; four EL84 power tubes; three 12AX7 preamp tubes; two fully independent channels with separate gain and volume controls; newly voiced Mark Sampson tone stack with shared Bass, Treble, and Cut controls; custom hand-wound Bad Cat transformers;
