The ADG-1 delay from AMT Electronics combines vintage audio processing techniques with modern technology, utilising studio-grade Bucket Brigade Delay lines with up to 700ms of rich analogue delay as well a refined Low Frequency Oscillator for deep modulation over your repeats. The layout of the ADG-1 is reminiscent of modular synthesis, with three main modules for processing your signal. The 'Delay' module is the core control over your delay time and feedback. The additional 'Bucket Switch' selects whether the signal travels through 1 or 2 BBD's resulting in a halved or doubled delay time. The 'Mix' module provides level, blending and tonal control. The 'Drive' knob provides up to +23dB of drive before the delay line, allowing for soft clipping and limiting when cranked, and the 'Mix' knob smoothly cross-fades the wet and dry signals. The 'Tone' knob is another feature that sets this delay apart from the others. It achieves tonal control via a modified, non-symmetrical "tilt type" filter providing both high and low pass control and sits inside the feedback loop altering the wet sound progressively with each repetition. Finally, the 'LFO' module provides a modulation source for animating your delay time, selectable between a rounded triangle wave or a slewed square wave. At higher speeds the wave shape becomes smoother, with the 'Amount' knob altering the range of pitch movement of the repeats. Further controls include the 'Trails / Mod' footswitch, which can be internally set to either remove the LFO from the delay, or engage Tails mode to let the repeats gradually fade out after the bypass switch is disengaged. Additionally an expression pedal or control-voltage input can be assigned to either Time, Feedback, Rate or Amount for extended control under your feet. Includes original box.
