Its multi-laminate neck-through construction and natural gloss finish give it a striking, classic early-80s look. The serial number stamped on the back of the headstock (004023) dates this example to 1980. Matsumoku built Aria Pro II instruments until the factory closed in 1987, and basses from this era are highly regarded for their build quality. The headstock carries the "Original Custom Body Pat. No. 555719" marking, and the tuners bear the Aria Pro II logo.
