Aria Diamond AWF-1 Wah-Wah Fuzz Machine – Vintage Japan A seriously cool and rare piece of Japanese effects history – the Aria Diamond AWF-1 Wah-Wah Fuzz Machine, made in Japan by Shin-Ei in the late 1960s. This is the early and more desirable version featuring the six-transistor fuzz circuit, closely related to the legendary Shin-Ei FY-6 Superfuzz. It delivers a raw, aggressive and unmistakably vintage fuzz tone that can also be combined with the built-in wah. The fuzz and wah can be engaged separately using the two switches on the top panel, while the large treadle controls the wah effect. This example shows plenty of honest wear from more than 50 years of use, with scratches, marks and natural patina throughout. Please see the photos for the exact condition. Made in Japan – late 1960s / early 1970s. A rare opportunity to pick up one of the early Aria/Shin-Ei fuzz-wah machines with the classic six-transistor circuit.
