Seller's description

The Aguilar DB 212 is a high-performance 2x12 bass cabinet designed to deliver a strong mix of power, clarity, and punch in live and studio settings. Built from rugged 13-ply Baltic birch plywood, it houses two custom 12-inch Eminence ceramic drivers along with a phenolic tweeter and adjustable crossover control, allowing players to fine-tune the high-end response. With power handling around 600 watts RMS, it has more than enough headroom for loud stages and demanding performance situations. Its rear-ported design helps reinforce the low end while keeping the response tight and controlled, avoiding the loose or overly boomy character that some cabinets can produce. Standard connectivity includes both Speakon and 1/4-inch inputs and is in an 8-ohm configuration. Despite its relatively portable footprint compared to larger 4x10 cabinets, it still weighs around 83 lbs, though removable casters make moving it between gigs more manageable. Tonally, the DB 212 carries Aguilar’s signature forward-leaning “DB series” character, with a strong low-mid punch that helps bass lines sit clearly in a dense mix. It delivers a bold, present sound that works especially well for rock, funk, and modern performance styles where definition and impact matter. Rather than aiming for a super smooth or hi-fi tone, it focuses on energy, articulation, and stage presence, making it a versatile choice for players who need their bass to be felt as much as heard.
