Seller's description

The 2016 Duesenberg Soundgarden Electric Guitar in Black Hole Sun Stained Glass is far more than a visually spectacular instrument—it is a tribute to one of rock’s most powerful and distinctive voices. Created in collaboration with Soundgarden and released in the era following Chris Cornell’s passing, its dramatic stained-glass artwork turns the guitar into a playable piece of memorial art, echoing the surreal, shadowed atmosphere of “Black Hole Sun.” Its semi-hollow Duesenberg construction, elegant hardware, and unmistakable Art Deco-influenced design give it the refined presence of a premium electric guitar, while the colorful, window-like finish makes it immediately unlike almost anything else onstage or in a collection. The imagery feels both luminous and haunting: a fitting visual parallel to the emotional contrast that defined so much of Soundgarden’s music. Most importantly, the instrument captures the legacy of Chris Cornell through feeling rather than imitation. It reflects the scale, intensity, vulnerability, and imagination he brought to rock music—honoring an artist whose songwriting and voice could be simultaneously thunderous, intimate, strange, and deeply human.
