The 1981 Wal Mk-I Pro II Active Fretless Electric Bass Guitar is an exceptionally rare early British-built Wal, combining the unmistakable character of the company’s formative period with the expressive response of a fretless fingerboard and Wal’s sophisticated active electronics. Early Wal basses have developed an extraordinary reputation among professional players, collectors and studio musicians for their distinctive construction, powerful electronics and immediately recognisable tonal personality.
